%X This study aims to determine the description of parenting care done by parents in poor families (less able). This type of research is qualitative research using descriptive study approach. Data collection using observation and interview methods in one poor family, and have a teenage children who were in school or graduated from high school. The results of this study indicate that the care practices carried out by poor families includes the fulfillment of children's needs, the cultivation of values against children, interaction and communication of children, control and monitoring, and support for social children. There are different findings from the results from this study are the expectations that arise as a result of the economic constraints experienced, it makes them optimistic in trying to meet the needs of life in the framework of childcare.
