Instagram media usage is based on the need fulfillment through the media rather than the intensity of its use. This need can be met with wise use of media instagram through the use of positive content and tools Participants were 171 (N=171) students of Muhammadyah 3 Yogyakarta Senoir High School. Collecting data tools used were subjective well-being scale reliability coefficient 0,949 (?=0,949) and need of instagram uses scale with reliability coefficient 0,898 (?=0,898). Quantitative Correlational methods were used in this research. Data was analized by Spearman Correlation by software SPSS 16.00 for windows. The result showed that hypotheses was accepted. There was positive correlation between need of instagram uses and subjective wellbeing (p 0,05 pearson correlation 0,271). The need of instagram uses had effective contribution 6,9% (2 6,9%) to subjective well-being.
