        abstract = {Groups or Communities are widely formed in Indonesia. One of which is
the motorcycle community. However, it is not balanced with traffic discipline in
the members. There are many violations done both while driving. They tend to
have a sense of superiority when driving together with their group to forget the
aspects of their safety. Of course, the communication process within the group has
an important role to influence its members in driving behavior.in this case also
happens in Vespa Smallframe Yogyakarta and this community conducts
communication process within the group. Smallframe Yogyakartak attempts to
make their members understand and run the traffic rules while driving with the
goal of creating traffic discipline in the motor community
Therefore the writer examine the group communication that occurred in
the Smallframe Yogyakarta community in an effort to creat traffic discipline in the
community. This research will refer to the group community functions that occur
in the Smallframe Yogyakarta community and then applied to the aspects of traffic
dicipline. The type of this research is descriptive qualitative. it is research with
interviewing the person who competent in their community. Communication in the
Smallframe group of Yogyakarta has been successfully in creating traffic
discipline in the community.This is aim to make the members to obey the traffic
rules when riding and do not break the rules. In the other hand there are has
some shortcomings.
