Finding of the research is that the features of Instagram such as photo upload, caption, hastag, like, and popular pages managed to create a perception and culture of santri. Instagram @alasantri has leveraged technological developments today as a medium for santri identity recognition. The theory applied in this research is applying Perception and Culture where there is a belief, values, attitude, social organization, human nature, and activity orientation associated with the features in Instagram. This research is a qualitative research where the researcher uses interview to santriwati in giving perception on Instagram @alasantri. The results obtained from this research that the features useb @alasantri able to create a perception and able to inform the cultural life of santri in Pesantren.
