Today, almost all production houses rely on movie trailer to promote a coming soon-movie they have produced. it is believed that a movie trailer will be able to attract million viewers. Started from the complaints of some people about a movie they have watched wasn?t as good as they thought when they watch its trailer. From this phenomenon, researcher intend to know the magnitude of the effect of movie trailers on the interest of watching the movie. This study uses Stimulus-Response theory which states that individual responses not only derived from the stimulus caused by the circumstances surround them, but also things they think it is convenient and interesting to them, Hurlock (1991:182). The researcher chose a quantitative approach with a movie trailer as the independent variable and watching interest as the dependent variable. The method used in this research is survey. The survey was conducted at BPAD DIY Central Library Service against 81 respondents with following qualifications; students, have watched movie trailers and in the age range of 18-25 years. The result of this study indicates the influence of movie trailers on the interest of watching movie. The coefficient of determination (r square) shows the value of 0.362 or equal to 36.2\% (r2 x 100\%). This means that the interest of visitors of BPAD DIY Central Library Service influenced by the movie trailer is 36.2\% in magnitude, while the rest of 63.8\% influenced by another factors.
