abstract: The policy is definitely neededto achieve the first point of SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) No Poverty in 2030. One such policy is economic empowerment. Economic empowerment aims to build an independent society in economic terms. But regrettably, some economic empowerment programs create dependence and cultural poverty on society.
This study aims to examine the effect of productivezakatempowermentin reducing mustahikpoverty in Dompet Dhuafa Yogyakarta with work ethic as an intervening variable. The method used in this study is regression andpathanalysis with SPSS 21application. The resultsshow that productive zakat empowerment has positive effect on work ethic, but it does not have an effect on the mustahikpoverty. While the work ethos negatively affect the mustahikpoverty. In path analysis, indirect correlation between productive zakat empowerment and labor poverty has coefficient value greater than direct relationship of productive zakat empowerment and mustahik poverty, so it can be concluded that work ethic is an intervening variable in this model

Untuk mewujudkan poin pertama SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) yaitu No Poverty in 2030, diperlukan kebijakan untuk mengentaskan kemiskinan. Salah satunya adalah pemberdayaan ekonomi. Pemberdayaan ekonomi bertujuan untuk kemandirian masyarakat dalm segi ekonomi. Akan tetapi beberapa program pemberdayaan ekonomi menciptakan ketergantungan dan kemiskinan kutural pada masyarkat.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh pemberdayaan zakat produktif dalam mengurangi kemiskinan mustahik dengan etos kerja sebagai variabel intervening di Dompet Dhuafa Yogyakarta. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis regresi dan jalur path, dengan aplikasi SPSS 21. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan pemberdayaan zakat produktif berpengaruh positif terhadap etos kerja, tetapi tidak berpengaruh terhadap Pengentasan Kemiskinan mustahik. Sedangkan etos kerja berpengaruh negatif terhadap Pengentasan Kemiskinan mustahik. Dalam analisis jalur path, hubungan tidak langsung antara pemberdayaan zakat dan kemiskinan mustahik kerja memiliki nilai koefisien lebih besar daripada hubungan langsung pemberdayaan zakat dan kemiskinan mustahik, sehingga diambil kesimpulan bahwa etos kerja merupakan variabel intervening dalam model ini
