Si abstract: Everyone understands that life is full of uncertainties, that could cause a risk then there is need for insurance as a means to transfer risk. With the existence of insurance a person can rest in running activities and therefore the existence of insurance for someone is a requirement. Insurance is an agreement in which a person is binding an insurer to receive a premium to provide a reimbursement for any loss, damage, or lost profits that may occur due to an unexpected event. The development of Islamic insurance in Indonesia is growing rapidly. This happens because some of the factors affecting the demand for insurance products among which are the promotion, knowladge, and perception of interest. This study aims to examine the influence of promotion, knowledge, and perception of santri about Takaful insurance on the interest of choosing sharia insurance products. Data taken from questionnaires distributed to santri at Islamic boarding school Al-Munawwir Krapyak Yogyakarta. The method used is multiple linear regression method. The result of the research shows that the value of adjusted R square is 0,768 which means 76,8% that santri at Islamic boarding school Al-Munawwir Krapyak Yogyakarta have interest to choose sharia insurance product while the rest is 24,2% influenced by other factor outside model.
