%X The purpose of this study is to determine the level of efficiency sharia insurance and factors that influence it. This study was condacted in two stages. The first stage is to measure the performance of the efficiency of sharia insurance in Indonesia using Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) method. The second stage is to estimate the factors affecting the performance efficiency of sharia insurance in Indonesia using a pooled regression. This study uses seventeen (17) samples of sharia insurances that officially registered in OJK (Otoritas Jasa Keuangan) during the period 2014 until 2016. The result of this study showed that during the period there are three (4) of sharia insurances has not been efficient, there are Central Asia Insurance, Staco Mandiri Insurance, Mega Insurance and Sunlife Insurances. Meanwhile, the other results of panel data regression show that the effect between ROA with efficiency of sharia insurances are negative. And DER had an influence on efficiency.
