        abstract = {This study aims to test the level of religiosity, reference groups and the amount of premiums to the public interest in choosing sharia based insurance. The object of this research is the people who life in the village Rejowinangun, Kotagede, Yogyakarta. The sample method use purposive sampling. Sampled in this study is 100 people with the criteria that have been determined. The data used is the primary data in the form of questionnaires distributed to the respondents. Data analysis method used in this research is multiple linear regression analysis. Based on the F test of the study shows that the level of religiosity, reference group and the amount of premium simultaneously affect the interest in choosing sharia insurance. In additon, t test partially indicates that the variabel level of religiosity and the amount of premium has a significant effect on interest in choosing sharia insurance. Result of test coefficient determination equal to 0,332 or 33,2\% variable of interest of society in choosing sharia based insurance can be explained by three variable while the test equal to 66,8\% influenced bye other variable not examined.}
