This research is quasi experiment research with nonequivalent control group pre-test post-test design. The variable consists of dependent variable called Cooperative Learning Model with Teams Games Tournament (TGT) Type and independent variable called learning motivation and physic learning result. Sampling technique using purposie sampling with class X MIPA 1 as the experiment class and class X MIPA 3 as the control class. Data collection used test technique for cognitive learning result and non-test technique for physics learning motivation. Instrument in this research is a matter of pretess-postttest and motivation questionnaire. Data analysis in this research use descriptive statistic. The results showed that cooperative learning model with TGT type (1) influences to the learning motivation of physic class X in MAN 2 Yogyakarta seen from the percentage of questionnaires obtained from both classes. The percentage of students who voted "agree" in the experimental class were 36,3% and 28,9% voted "strongly agree". While in the control class the percentage of students who voted "agree" 38,7% and 28% chose "hesitant" (2) influences to the learning result of physics class X in MAN 2 Yogyakarta seen from mean value obtained from both classes. The experimental class has an mean value of 71,9 while the control class has an mean value of 65,36.
