abstract: Investment is an investment action against a company with the aim of gaining profit in the future. The rate of return and risk into two things that must be considered by investors in determining investment options. In addition, the coefficient of variation must also be taken into account because it has a role in comparing risk per share. This study aims to examine the comparison between the rate of returns, risks, and coefficient of variation on sharia and non sharia stocks in LQ 45 period June 2014 - May 2017. Sampling method using purposive sampling method, that is sample selection based on certain criteria, and obtained the sample of each shares of sharia and non sharia stock LQ 45 as many as 4 emiten. The technique used is different test by using Mann-Whitney U Test. The results of statistical calculations show that there is no significant difference between returns, risks and coefficient of variation on sharia and non sharia stocks in LQ 45.
