N2  - This research is based on the fact that there are many potential of natural
resources in Indonesia but the quality of human resources that process is not
balanced, especially female human resources that often escape from the attention
of empowerment. But different things happen in Jurangjero, mothers in Jurangjero
trying to exploit the potential of nature that exist so well, even they formed
Kelompok Wanita Tani. In Kelompok Wanita Tani itself, there are many skills
training that encourage members to develop their human resources so they can
process the potential of natural resources in their area. Appearing community
development in Jurangjero this makes the writer interested to know how the
process of community development undertaken and the extent to which the results
obtained from community development in Makmur Lestari Farmer Women
Group.
This research uses descriptive-qualitative method that is by telling the
condition that happened in field supported by speech obtained directly from
informant. The method of data collection is done by interview, observation and
documentation. Data processing technique is done with two theories: the theory of
community development process and the theory of the results of community
mining.
From the results of this study it was found that the community
development process that took place in Kelompok Wanita Tani Makmur Tani
Lestari Jurangjero was conducted through four stages: starting from problem and
potential, organizing: (group making), potential data collection and skill giving
(improvement of member resource quality), empowerment: (process utilization of
skills for business). The results of the development of the community in the
Makmur Lestari Farmer Group include increased insight and skills, increased
insight and skills, optimizing the utilization of natural resources, additional
income and cost savings, the participation of members in group activities.
