%X At the SEA Games 2017 event yesterday that took place in Malaysia there has been an incident that was the reversal of the Indonesian flag during the opening ceremony. The fatal mistake made by Malaysia as the host of the SEA Games 2017 became a warm conversation at the time and made the relationship between Indonesia and Malaysia back up. Because the two countries are often argued from the problem of borders, labor, dance, cultural arts, and other issues. The purpose of this study is to describe how Kompas.com in framing the news of the incident reversed the flag of Indonesia in the SEA Games 2017 in Malaysia. This research uses qualitative descriptive method and observation unit in this research is online media Kompas.com.From the research results can be concluded that Kompas.com often publish news about the reaction and protests incident reversed the flag of Indonesia from several figures who are in the government environment. Then often use the emphasis on who, who is the news source of a government figure. Kompas.com also often preach about the mistakes that made Malaysia as host of SEA Games 2017. The framing device there are four namely, syntactic structure, script structure, thematic structure, and rhetorical structure.
