The quality of human resources is still low, one of which is the mastery of English as an international language to be one cause. Therefore, education as the main gateway to change and improve the students? skill need to be improved its quality. The success of education is strongly influenced by the success of learning in the classroom. The role of educators in designing learning including the use of appropriate learning media is certainly necessary, in order to get the maximum results. The use of social media instagram as a learning medium is expected to bridge the learning process in the classroom. The subject of the research is the 3rd semester of D3 Nursing students at FIKES University of Muhammadiyah Magelan. The experimental method was chosen to determine the influence of social usage of instagram media as a learning media in improving writing skill. The data collection technique was using pretest and posttest, supported by questionnaires. The results of this study indicated that; The average value of the experimental class in the pretest result was 67.93 and the posttest was 80.71, the result of the hypothesis test, was obtained Asymp.Sig. (2-tailed) is worth 0.000. The value was <0.05, it can be concluded that Ha was accepted. So the conclusion is the use of social media Instagram can improve the students writing skills.
