abstract: This study aims at determining the parenting descruption of parents whose children memorize al-qur'an and what factors influence it. The sources of this research are 3 couples who are domiciled in DI.Yogyakarta. The research method used is qualitative research method using case study approach. The results of this study indicate that the three informants have almost the same parenting goals, including educating the character of children, realizing the Qur'an family, preparing future generations and the interests of preaching. In the care process there are several aspects, namely (1) control, sometimes children are given freedom but remain in parental control (2) demands for maturity, mutual understanding between parents and children, children with parents, children with children (3) communication , building good communication warmly, softly, decisively, democratically, adjusted to the child's situation (4) affection, in the form of physical closeness, positive expression, a sense of pride in children's achievement. engagement which includes respect for children's achievement, expressed by giving rewards in the form of praise and prizes. Parents also give punishment that aims to make children aware when they make mistakes. The factors that influence the care of parents who have children memorize the Qur'an, namely (1) Parent Education, influences in several ways, including the similarity of thought, division of parental roles, self-habituation, fulfillment of the best nutrition for children (2) Environment, influences consistency in memorizing (3) Culture
