The subject for this research are 18 of fourth grade student of SDN Demangan. This research uses a quasi-experimental research method. The research treatment used the SQ3R method in learning reading comprehension Data collection method used to get the data needed in this research is the test method. Measuring instrument of reading comprehension ability is arranged by the scale of ability to understandthe readings that are adopted and accompanied by Rifa Hidayah. Based on the results of this research it was found that treatment of learning with the SQ3R method was not able to improve reading comprehension in the experimental group. In the analysis of independent sample t test test obtained Sig (2-tailed) value of 0.16{\ensuremath{>}} 0.05, it can be concluded that there is no difference in the average ability's student to understand reading significantly between the experimental class and the control class. So, constraints in this research are divided into 2 factors, there are internal factors and external factors. Internal factors include physiological factors and psychological factors. While, the external factor is the environment. From the result research's , it can be concluded that there is no difference in the ability's student to understand reading significantly in students who are practiced and not practiced.} }
