abstract: This study aims to know dynamics of spiritual well being to exprisonersand to find out factors that influence the spiritual wellbeing. The informant in this reasearch is three ex-prisoners whoare domiciled in Yogyakarta Province. The research method usedthe method of qualitative research with phenomenologicalapproach. Data collection methods used were interviews,observation and documentation. The result of this researchindicate that there is a spiritual well being in each ex-prisoners.The spiritual well being appears to the fulfillment of the spiritualwell being domains. The domain of spiritual well being consistsof personal, communal, environmental and transcendental. The
factors found by researchers in influencing the spiritual wellbeing of internal factors consisting of life experience, crisis &disaster. External factors are found to consist of family andculture / religion
