This study type is qualitative research with case study method. The data collection used observations and interviews with two elderly people who became veterans. The results of this study revealed that both subjects had positive selfconcept. Both of subjects are able to overcome the problem of life that is considered heavy, be proud of their advantages and always trying to maintain good relations with others. Both subjects also be grateful for their life. The positive factors that can influence self-concept of the elderly who became a veteran is self-image, which is both subjects feel proud of his situation, as well as the parents and family factors which is the family of subjects gave care to the subject also affects the positive self-concept. Social factors that show that both subjects feel respected related to their status as veterans, other than that the factor of subjects who have the opportunity to receive education, and the level of economy classified also gave affect both of subjects to had positive self-concept.
