Ethanol belongs to the volatile organic compounds (VOCs) that are dangerous if inhaled by humans in high concentrations, so that need for gas detection. Temperature as kinetic controller of CBD process take effect to ZnO fabrication and characterization. Zno nanorods thin films synthesized onto glass substrat by dip-coating technique. Growth of rods use Zn(NO3)2.4H2O and HMTA (1:1) preccusor in chemical bath deposition method at temperature 75oC, 83oC, 87oC. Result of SEM showing ZnO CBD 83oC morphology form of nanorods evenly with diameter size is 95,56 nm, while ZnO CBD 75oC explain to nanorods constructed and ZnO CBD 87oC explain to nanorods unconstructed. The morphological support to XRD result explain there is low-high peaks shift as illustration a process occurs of nanorods construction and unconstruction. All of ZnO sample have hexagonal wurzite that confirm ICDS-094004 card. Ehanol gas sensing tested at temperature operation 100oC, 150oC, 200oC. Highly sensitivity of sensor up to 77,31% for ZnO CBD 75oC at test temperature 100oC. ZnO CDB 83oC sample at temperature operation 200oC have highest respon on 2.22 min (tres) and 0,45 min (trec). Time respond and recovery will increase along with increasing of test temperature.
