"The purpose of this research is to describe about strategic destination\r\nbranding through the event Jagalan Festival in an effort to introduce Tourism\r\nVillage on Kotagede. This topic chosen depends on the condition of tourism in\r\nJagalan Village which is underdeveloped although Jagalan Village has many\r\npotencies in tourism. This condition makes Karang Taruna Jagalan and Arkom\r\nmake a hallmark event to promote and branding Jagalan Village.\r\nReseacrher use descriptive qualitative as method. In this method\r\nresearcher also use primery and secondary data sources which get from deep\r\ninterview, and documentations. In additional, this reseach use analysis data\r\nfrom Miles and Huberman, and then to cross-check the validity researcher use\r\ntriangulation of expert technique. This reseach is to describe how part of\r\ndestination branding Jagalan Festival.\r\nThe result of this research is show a part of destination branding that\r\nconsist of : vision and stakeholder management, target consumer and portfolio\r\nmatching, positioning and differentiation strategies using brand components,\r\ncommunication strategies, feedback and response management strategies.
