"At State Islamic University of Sunan Kalijaga, it can be observed there are\r\nmany official employees who successfully have given exclusive breastfeeding\r\nnotwithstanding there has been no breastfeeding-room yet. Therefore this research\r\nwill discuss about how official employees give exclusive breastfeeding without\r\nfacility after maternity leave. Specifically these research problems are firstly how\r\ndo the power relation happen on campus? Secondly how do official employees, at\r\nUIN Sunan Kalijaga, give exclusive breastfeeding after the end of maternity\r\nleave? Thirdly what is the factors which can urge the exclusive breastfeeding, and\r\nwhat is the obstacle of it?\r\nTo answer these questions, this research used Hanna Arendt’s theory—\r\npublic space--strategy and tactic theory of Michael de Certeau, and Fritz Heider’s\r\ntheory of attribute. These theories had been seriously useful to observe how\r\nofficial employees, at UIN Sunan Kalijaga, give exclusive breastfeeding after the\r\nend of maternity leave without breastfeeding-room. It is field research which used\r\na social-anthropological approach and three collecting methods of data, such us,\r\nobservation, interview, and documentation. It also utilise snowball sampling\r\ntechnique to seek an informant so its technique can facilitate researcher to find\r\nsome official employees giving it. Data validity was done by triangulation, and\r\nanalyzed descriptively-analytically.\r\nThe result of this research shows facts. Firstly, the power relation of official\r\nemployees at UIN Sunan Kalijaga has been not equal yet, especially for woman\r\nofficial employees. So far campus has not had a special regulation for female\r\nofficial employees as public facility, but it is endeavoring to accommodate their\r\nnecessities—the availability of day-care for their child. Secondly, they use\r\ncreatively the certain tactics to give the exclusive breastfeeding after maternity leave\r\nleave, for example, breastfeeding at musala (small mosque), workspace, toilet,\r\nand library. Thirdly, the success of exclusive breastfeeding is not determined of\r\ncleverness or skill and profession class, but it is determined by family support—\r\nwahnan ‘ala wahnin—and day-care. The obstacle factors of it are the maternity\r\nleave nervousness of female official employees, breastfeeding at workspace which\r\nis considered as troublesome thing, and embarrassed sensation to do it at campus."^^ .
