Zainal Arifin Ahmad, M.Ag abstract: The goal of this research for explain: 1) human resources must be increased in order to increase the professionalism of teachers at SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Bambanglipuro, 2) human resource management at SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Bambanglipuro, 3) efforts by the school to improve teacher professionalism at SMP Muhammadiyah I Bambanglipuro. This research is a qualitative research and taken the location of research at SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Bambanglipuro. Data collection was done by conducting observations, documentation and interviews with head masters, teachers, employees, and students. Data analysis is done by giving meaning to the data collected, then from the meaning of the data the writer draws conclusions. The results showed: First, human resources must be increased in order to increase the professionalism of teachers in SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Bambanglipuro because in managing Islamic education institutions, attention to the resources of educators and education staff requires serious attention that is closely related to the process and content of the implementation of learning activities in schools. school by explaining interpersonal roles, informational roles and decision-making role. Secondly, Human Resource Management at SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Bambanglipuro implemented with the following management patterns: a. the principal has done HR planning at the end of the year. b. Human Resources Recruitment and Selection oriented to the ability of science and technology and IMTAQ. c. Placement / Orientation Process to find out the condition of the school. d. Performance Appraisal and Training and Development are carried out by agencies and principals. e. Compensation in the form of basic salary and outside basic salary. f. Dismissal is done on their own accord, it could be because of the willingness of the school.
