abstract: Economic growth is one of the problems in the economy of a country either in the short the long run, moreover in macroeconomic theory that seen from the expenditure there are variables that affect the GDP is the variable investment, that investment came from foreign or domestic. according to the Solow-Swan theory, economic growth was influenced by factors such as production fakor population, labor, and capital accumulation. In addition also affected by the level of advancement of technology (technological progress), but the amount of labor that exists in Indonesia many suffice let alone with be facilitated foreign residents went into labor then the number of Indonesia in Indonesia is much.
This research is a descriptive quantitative research using data obtained from a range of official wibeside such as the Central Bureau of statistics and the Department of Employment. Data analysis technique used is regression data panel with fixed effect estimation model by using analysis tools eviews 8, and with these methods can be obtained from data that is accurate and in accordance with the object of research. Analysis of the results obtained from this research is that the local workforce and investment has a effect on growth of ecomonic, while the foreign labor has no effect on economic growth because the number of local labor too much so that the revenue generated by the foreign workers do not have much effect on economic growth.
