Branding not only seen as a process involving tangible but also intangible assets. Branding is an attempt to communicate brand definition of an institution, how the institution manages the brand, and what values are contained in the brand. At present, branding not only needed by profit institutions, but non-profit institutions also need it with the aim of forming a brand to maintain reputation. University is a non-profit educational institution which also requires branding. This branding is based on the needs of the times. This research used descriptive qualitative method with stratified random sampling technique and use branding concept as the theoretical basis. The results of this study are Tim Branding was formed to encourage Humas performance so it has not fully worked systematically in UIN Sunan Kalijaga branding. This is because Tim Branding is not established as a separate department but still being a part of Humas. Tim Branding used the concept of Islamic Branding with the aim of adjusting how to compare with the brand that was formed.
