%X This study discusses the effectiveness of the use of Instagram social media in improving the image of government agencies in Kebumen Regency. The phenomenon of news of the arrest of several officials within the Kebumen Regency Government received a negative response from the community. To improve the image, namely by conducting public information disclosure through the use of the @humaskebumen Instagram social media which is based on Republic of Indonesia's Republic of Indonesia Minister of PAN Regulation No. 83 of 2012 concerning Guidelines for Utilizing Social Media of Government Agencies.  The purpose of this study is to measure the effectiveness of using social media Instagram as measured by the EPIC Model and image method. This type of research is quantitative. The data in this study through the followers of the @humaskebumen Instagram account which amounted to 91 respondents. To test the validity and reliability, namely by using SPSS 23 for Windows and product moment correlation. There are 11 statements that are declared valid because of r count> r table. Based on the results of the analysis that all the variables used in the study were declared reliable because ralpha> 0.6.  The dimensions used to measure the use of social media instagram variables are empathy dimensions, persuasion dimensions, impact dimensions, and communications dimensions obtained by the weight of 4.01, which means that the use of social media instagram by @humaskebumen as a medium for disseminating information to the public means effective. The Public Relations Division as manager of @humaskebumen can be said to have implemented the tuags well, which is to share the quality of information in the form of quality photos / videos. So the goal to improve the image through the use of social media instagram is achieved.
