abstract: This study aims to describe trust and distrust of bigginer voters towards female politicians and to find out what factors are the reasons for beginner voters trusting and distrusting towards female politicians in the city of Yogyakarta. This research is (mix method) mixing between qualitative and quantitative research type with indigenous psychology approach. Data sources were obtained through the distribution of online questionnaires with open-ended questionnaires. The subject of this study amounted to 201 people who were in accordance with the criteria of bigginer voters in the city of Yogyakarta. Generally this research concludes that the results of this study shows that the majority of bigginer voters trust in female politicians. There are 6 supporting reasons why bigginer voters trust in female politicians. First, role model factors, second, track record, third, situational, fourth, antaseden from male politicians, fifth, justice for men and women, sixth competence of female politicians. And the most dominant factor is the competence factor of female politicians. In addition to trust, a small percentage of bigginer voters distrust in female politicians. There are 4 reasons that support distrust of beginner voters. First, lack of quantity. second, lack of competence, third, lack of knowledge, fourth, patriarchal culture. And the most dominant factor is the factor of lack of competence of female politicians.
