abstract: This thesis will examine Character Education in the Islamic Branch Association of
Islamic Students (HMI) Kudus Branch, by looking at the reality of student life that is
happening at this time especially for HMI cadres. This research is expected to be able to
gain knowledge and knowledge in character education studies, the sub-section being the
Islamic Student Association (HMI) and able to provide input, especially for HMI Kudus
Branch organizations in the field of care. In this study using descriptive qualitative
research methods with a case study approach, while the data collection method uses
interviews, observation, and documentation. Then in his analysis that Character
Education in the HMI cadre about character education in HMI is very closely related to
the cadre process in HMI as contained in article 4 of the HMI's articles of association
which reads: The establishment of academics, creators, devotees who are Islamic and
are responsible for the realization of a prosperous, just society blessed by Allah SWT. A
manifestation of that goal can be achieved by efforts, namely education or other
languages within the HMI organization. In realizing a cadre's character which is then
contained in the interpretation of HMI's goals, namely the quality of human beings,
besides that in cadre activities, there are several targets in shaping the cadre's character,
among others, their character and personality, scientific abilities and skills. From the
implications of the cadre, changing the personality of the care makes it more critical,
fosters the spirit of leadership, fosters a strong spirit of nationalism and finally awakens
the soul of the Muslim personality in each cadre
