        abstract = {This study aims to determine the relationship between the perception of President Joko
Widodo?s leadership style with the decision making to choose Joko Widodo as president in the
2019 Presidential Election for beginner voters. The hypotesis in this study is that there is a positive
relationship between the perception of leadership style with decision making.
The samples in this study were 50 beginner voters registered as permanent voters in the 2019
General Election in Bantul District, Bantul Regency. This research uses quantitative research
methods. The measuring instrument used in this study is the scale of perception of President Joko
Widodo?s leadership style made by researchers based on Almond and Verba theories, and the scale
of decision making for choosing Joko Widodo which was also made by researchers based on the
theories of Janis and Mann.
The scale of perception of leadership style consists of 27 items and the scale of decision
making consists of 21 items. Data is processed using Pearson Product-Moment correlation test.
