N2  - Marriage according to the philosophy of life of the Kei community is a kinship that not
only unites two people but unites two extended families. In Kei customary law there is a
marriage ban even more specific than what is regulated by religion and legislation.
Prohibition of marriage in the Kei tribe is the prohibition of marriage between tribes /
villages / villages that are bound by pela relations or in the local language call it Tea Bel.
The existence of these rules makes it difficult for people to choose their partners, so there
are often violations related to this marriage. Before deciding to commit a violation of
marriage a stage that needs to be done is to make a decision. The results of the study
revealed that in general the three subjects passed the same decision making stage, namely
assessing the problem, reviewing alternatives, weighing the problem, making
commitments, and preparing to receive feedback / response. The problem found in this
study is that there is no blessing from the family, especially the father, this is because the
family does not want to take the risk of the decision to be made. The social sanctions
received by the subject due to the decision, besides the three subjects are willing to leave
the family caused by the love that is owned by the subjects. Pela marriage
decision-making is influenced by several factors such as the thought and control of the
community to carry out the marriage.
