M.H. abstract: In the corporate world, dispute of industrial relation is so often. An industrial relations dispute is a different opinion that effects a conflict between employee and employer. Labor Department of Semarang City is a government agency that responsible to resolve an industrial relations disputes at Semarang city. The purpose of this research is to be able to answer the research questions, including: how is the resolving process of industrial relations disputes in the Labor Department of Semarang City? Does the resolving process of industrial relations disputes in the Labor Department of Semarang City accordance with Act of PPHI Number 2 of 2004? How is the review of Islamic law on industrial relations disputes resolution at the Labor Department of Semarang City? This research is a field research. The research approach that is used, descriptive-analytical, is an approach taken by integrating legal materials with data which are obtained in the field. Data collection are carried out through observing, interviewing with several speakers at the Labor Department of Semarang City, and also collecting documents that relate to this research. The conclusions of this research are: 1) the process of resolving disputes between employee and employer in the Labor Department of Semarang City is perverse with the provisions of the PPHI Act Number 2 of 2004. Firstly, dispute solution that is offered by the Labor Department of Semarang City is only a mediation.
