Along with the development of Youtube which applies monetization rules, it gets more and more Youtube accounts which produce contents on the site. They are what we call as Content Creators. The problem is, however, a multitude of Content Creators do not ensure the videos’ contents they produce to become qualified. Plagiarism cases and other cases which violate Youtube rules happen a lot. Nevertheless, as Content Creators they should have had a decent digital literacy competence that those violation cases do not occur. According to the explanation above, the researcher carried out a formulation of the research’s problem, that is, to find out how the digital literacy competence of Communication Studies’ students at Sunan Kalijaga Islamic State University as Content Creators. This research used qualitative descriptive approach. Regarding to the data collection technique, the researcher employed interviews, observations, and documentations. Afterwards, the collected data were analyzed. In regard to the result of the research, it could be found out: the informants named Arif, Faisol, and Sumraji had a decent digital literacy competence. As content creators, they could master the components of digital literacy competence, such as accessing competence, selecting, understanding, analyzing, verifying, evaluating, distributing, producing, participating, and collaborating.
