Teenager is a social group that loved K-pop and making k-pop idol becomes their favorite artist. Those fans start to join in a fandom, one of the fandoms which have a lot of fans is ARMY. ARMY is a name of group fans from a k-pop group BTS. But people have bad stereotype to K-pop fans. That is showing that the self existence of k-pop fans is strong enough, so they becomes a highlight. Self existence can be affected from some reasons, one of the reason is media social growth. The purpose of this research is to know the Self Existence in teenager fans of K-pop in Instagram. The subject in this research is teenager from 15-18 years old, which living in Yogyakarta and active in showing the activity of being a fans of BTS in their Instagram. The method of analysis is using virtual ethnography. This method is giving the researcher using any information and data that the researcher can find, it is also helping the researcher doing the cultural study in way to understand human behavior and other social contexts. The data is collected by doing observation, interview, documentation, and literature review. The result of this research shows that informants already fulfill the characteristic of person that have self existence. The characteristics from the self existence are self awareness, confidence, pride, and self attraction. Key Words: K-Pop culture, Self-existence, Teenager, ARMY Jogja, Virtual ethnography} }
