%X Communication and policy are two important factors in the successful  implementation of the university internationalization program. The development  of the times requires universities to continue to improve in every various lines, so  that they can exist and be able to compete with universties in the world.  Therefore, the purpose of this research is to analyze the communication process  applied by Islamic State University Sunan Kalijaga to become world class  university. Using qualitative methodology with descriptive type, data collection  was conducted through in-dept interviews and observation. The results showed  that the communication policies adopted by UIN Sunan Kalijaga to become world  class university had progressed, although there were stiill problems and  challenges, both internally and externally. The results of this research are expected  to be a source of evaluation in supporting the implementation of the  internationalization program in Islamic State University of Sunan Kalijaga.
