WAHID, NIM. 16810011 Y1 - 2020/02/19/ N2 - This research explains how the influence of inflation, trade openness, Gross Domestic Product (GDP), and exchange rateson foreign direct investment in 8 ASEAN countries, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Myanmar, Vietnam, laos, Cambodia, and the Ohilippines in 2011 to 2018. The existence of foreign direct investment is usually found in countries that have an attractiveness towards investors, especially economic stability. The state of the country receiving foreign direct investment is used in economic activities for the sake of sustaining the good of the country. This study also uses panel data regression with the best model approach namely Random Effect Model (REM), to find out how much influence the independent variable has on the dependent (PMA). Based on the F test results obtained, shows that in general the four independent variable have positive and significant effect on PMA. While the T test results indicate that the variable trade openness and GDP have a positive and significant effect on PMA. The inflation and exchange rates variable have no influence on PMA.
