Central Java is one of the provinces with the widest area and population density of the six provinces in Java. The level of human development index in Central Java occupies the fifth position of the other six provinces. This shows that human development in Central Java has not been carried out to the maximum. In this study, the research variables used are social infrastructure in the form of health infrastructure, education infrastructure, and economic infrastructure as a proxy of the three basic indicators of HDI namely health, education and income. Infrastructure is the foundation for a country said to be developed or developing. The health infrastructure in this study is divided into the number of health facilities and health workers, as well as the educational infrastructure which is proxied into the number of educational facilities and teaching staff. While economic infrastructure is described by the variable length of the road. The results showed that the variable of health workers had a significant effect on HDI and the variable of educators had a significant negative effect on HDI.
