Every company will always try to improve the performance of its employees in the hope that what the company's goals will be achieved. This is of course necessary to be able to move so that people or employees want to work and use their skills or abilities to the fullest. This study aims to determine the effect of competence, reward and punishment on the performance of employees of Bank BNI Syariah Semarang Branch Office. This research is a quantitative research. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires and interviews, using a sample of 50 respondents. The sampling method used was purposive sampling. The analysis model used in this study is a multiple linear regression analysis model using SPSS version 24 output program. The results showed that competence and reward had a positive effect on employee performance. Whereas punishment has a negative effect on employee performance. Tcount value of competency variable is greater than ttable (3.040> 2.013) and the significance value is 0.004 <0.05. This means that H1 in this study was accepted.
