Therefore the concept of Islamic education needs to be studied intensively, contemplatively and deeply so that it can be a problem solver for these problems. In the concept of holistic education al-Attas presents an interpretation of education that is not only science (transfer of knowledge), but trains the full potential of students. That is why al-Attas does not only have implications for the teaching or transmission of knowledge (ta'lim), but also the whole personal learning (tarbiyah), there is also an educator not only a teacher (muallim) but a (murobbi) who trains the soul and personality. Through this concept it will be able to answer what is the needs of individuals and the goals of Islamic education. This research is a library research using a pragmative philosophical approach. The results of this study indicate that the concept of holistic education Naquib al-Attas turns out to be able to answer what students need. The emphasis focuses on developing intellectual, spiritual, emotional, social, physical and aesthetic intelligence. This can be seen in the aspects of educators, aspects of students, and finally aspects of the curriculum. Education is an individual experience that will not be forgotten in it stored a balance between batiniyah and lahiriyah. %Z Dr. H. Karwadi, S.Ag., M.Ag
