N2  - Development of the Cognitive and Language Aspects of children through science learning
accompanied by audio-visual media, science learning has an impact on cognitive and language abilities
because learning is direct practice and stimulates aspects of development and maximizes the potential that
exists in the child. teacher's influence on students is very large and very decisive to overcome these
problems in order to be able to develop the ability to speak in children, then in developing early childhood
speech, besides being useful to facilitate teaching, it can also be used as a tool that can attract the attention
of children. No.146 of 2014 concerning Curriculum 2013 Article 5, namely the development of cognitive
and language aspects as referred to in paragraph (1) includes the embodiment of atmosphere for the
development of the maturity of the thought process in the context of play. The development of cognitive
and language aspects of children is very important to be done by the teacher of child development through
science-based audio visual media learning. Therefore this study examines several focus issues, namely: 1)
How the teacher's process of developing cognitive and language aspects through learning science based
on audio-visual media in TK Al-Harits, 2) How are the implications of the process of developing
cognitive and language aspects of scientific insights at Al-Harits Kindergarten.
This type of research is a qualitative research with a developmental psychology approach that
is Analyzing the Development of Cognitive and Language Aspects. The data source is Al-Harits
Banguntapan Kindergarten Yogyakarta. This kindergarten has implemented audio-visual media in science
learning. The data collection method uses observation, interviews, documentation. Data analysis
techniques used are data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification.
The theory used by researchers, namely the theory of Piaget Jeans and Vygotsky cognitive and
language development is very important to develop children's abilities in exploring the environment,
because it relates to a child's conscious mind. the increasing amount of coordination and control of the
child's cognitive world is developing rapidly, increasingly creative, free and imaginative.
The results of this study are: 1) the development process that has been carried out by Al-Harits
Kindergarten teachers on the development of cognitive and language aspects has raised the creativity of
students, through science learning, children can solve a problem by doing a game, and the teacher has
develop cognitive and language aspects of children so as to grow a student's talent and adapt to the social
environment. 2) the implementation of scientific insights on students in Al-Harits Banguntapan
Kindergarten in growing students' confidence in cognitive and language development and children's
understanding while doing the process of learning science, fostering courage in making decisions in
games, making children more independent in doing all things, making children share and help each other,
learning science makes children more disciplined in every game that is compliant with established rules
and the child is able to control the language spoken to peers and teachers.
