One of the social problems is the case of ?klitih? which harms someone while they are on the road. One of the areas which is vulnerable to ?klitih? in the Yogyakarta City area is the Wirobrajan areas. In this area, there are several schools that were targeted by ?klitih? incidents, one of them is SMA Muhammadiyah 7 Yogyakarta. In dealing with this incident, the teacher role becomes important and is needed to help students by providing information and prevention efforts about ?klitih? event. One way that can be done by the teacher in this case are the teacher?s guidance and counseling in the preventing ?klitih? behavior is to use persuasive method. This study aims to provide an overview of how persuasive communication is carried out by guidance and counseling teachers in preventing the existence of ?klitih? behavior. The type of reseacrh method used is descriptive qualitative method by collecting data through interviews, participant observation and research documentation. The results of the study showed that persuasive communication method carried out by guidance and counseling teachers from SMA Muhammadiyah 7 Yogyakarta are succeeded in preventing students from behaving of ?klitih?} }
