So that at one point, the economic conditions of the two countries can meet or converge. Convergence become one of the intersting issues to be discussed on both global or nation scale. In this research income convergence include the issue of regional income convergence that occured in the Island of Sumatra during period 2004-2018. The parameter used in presenting income convergence is Generalized Mean of Moment (GMM). Estimation results from year to year indicate an indiction of convergence, both sigma convergence or beta convergence. The meaning is for the Island of Sumtra the level of economic quality began to run well. But the level of convergence has continued to decline from year to year. To accelerate the rate of convergence, based on the result of this research conducted it is necessary to consider several driving factors such as: net exports, unemployment rates, human development indeks, and population of the Sumatra Island. While life expectancy does not significantly affect income of convergence in Sumatra Island.
