This research aims to evaluate the implementation of the Galaksi Spensaka program in the State Junior High School 1 Kalasan and reveal the Galaksi Spensaka program in support of library development. The type of this research is descriptive qualitative. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. Data collection techniques used observation, interview, and documentation. Analysis of the data by data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The result of this research: (1) Galaksi Spensaka program evaluation results include: (a) the results of the „context‟ evaluation are the background of the Galaksi Spensaka program, the program needs that have not been met is funding or budget, the target of the Galaksi Spensaka program is students, and the goal of the Galaksi Spensaka program is to foster and develop a fondness for reading, improve student learning archievement through fond of reading, creating a reading culture. (b) the results of the „input‟ evaluation include human resources and the strategy adopted by schools to support human resources that is sending teachers and librarians to take part in literacy training so that the competence of teachers and librarians increases. (c) the results of the „process‟ evaluation are at the habituation stage has met the achievement index, while at the learning stage, the implementation of the literacy programs in Junior High School 1 Kalasan have not meet the achievement index, but some have been implemented well. (d) the results of the „product‟ include student interest in reading and writing increased, and students produce works. (2) The development of the Spensaka Library includes the development of four reading corners and obtaining additional collections from the results of collaboration with external parties. %Z Dr. Tafrikhuddin, S.Ag., M.Pd
