        abstract = {This study aimed with determine the correlation between family harmony and self control with verbal aggression behavior. The subjects were 126 students both from MTs Negeri 3 Gunungkidul. Sampling technique used in this study was cluster random sampling. Data collection instrument used in this study were verbal aggression behavior scale, the scale of family harmony and self-control scale refers to the making according to a Likert scale. The results of data analysis using two predictors regression analysis get the F = 32.892 with p = 0.00 (p {\ensuremath{<}} 0.05). Family harmony and self-control variables simultaneously and significantly correlated with verbal aggression behavior. Partially, it was found the value of t Regression between family harmony and verbal aggression behavior = -2.135, and r = -0.189 partial, with p = 0.035 (p {\ensuremath{<}} 0.05), this means that there is a significant negative relationship between family harmony and verbal aggression behavior. Partial Test also find the value of t regression between the variables of self-control with verbal aggression behavior = -4.594 and r = -0.383 with a partial p = 0.000 (p {\ensuremath{<}} 0.05), this means that there is a significant negative relationship between self-control with verbal aggression behavior. Effective contribution of family harmony and self-control variables was 34,8 \% (R square = 0.348).}
