Based on these objectives, it is very contradictory to the situation of today's students. The failure of education in instilling religious values against students has not been implemented into daily life, there is violence among school children, drugs, pornography and various other things, and all of them are related to religious values. As one of the solutions, the Ministry of National Education's Research and Development Center for Curriculum Center aims at character education in order to shape the human person into a moral and moral person. This study aims to describe the implementation of religious values of students through Islamic religious education in SMA Negeri 2 Kotapinang which includes the form / process of implementing students 'religious values, the role of teachers (parents) and school policies, as well as the impact or factors supporting and inhibiting the implementation of students' religious values through religious education in schools. This research uses field research methods and uses a qualitative approach, data collection methods using observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the religious values of students through Islamic religious education at SMA Negeri 2 Kotapinang have not been maximally implemented, the practice of worship has not become routine and habituation. Changing religious knowledge (cognitive) into "meanings" and "values" that need to be internalized has not been carried out well by students. The implementation of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning in forming religious values in schools in 2 ways, namely intraculricular and extracurricular. The role of the teacher as a planner in the learning process, providing supervision, punishment, guidance, and role models as a role model, and school policies to make rules for an effective and efficient learning process. Supporting factors in implementing students' religious values in schools include: musholla, teaching aids, library and loudspeakers.
