This study includes quantitative research using secondary data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency and the World Bank, the method used in this study is the Error Correction Model (ECM) assisted by the Eviews 9. The results of this study indicate that the variable intensity of exports in the long run length has a negative and significant effect on employment. However, in the short run the variable intensity of exports has a negative and not significant effect on employment. The variable of long-term import penetration has a negative and significant effect on the absorption of Indonesian labor. In the short term the import penetration variable has a positive and not significant effect on employment. The variable of foreign investment in the long term and short term has a positive and significant effect on the absorption of Indonesian workers.} }
