Film is not a neutral medium nor in the void. In Indonesia, films are almost difficult to separate from the interests of the powerful regime. The existence of regulations and policies in film is a form of government intervention to control the potential of films which challenge established values. One of the films that received a lot of attention from Indonesian people at the end of 2019 is Sexy Killers. Sexy Killers the movie produced by Watchdoc Documentary linked the political elite with damaged ecosystems caused by coal mining, has the potential to reduce the level of public trust in the political elite. The method used in this research is quantitative research methods. Data collected using questionnaire which distributed to students of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta who had watched the Sexy Killers movie with a sample of 100 people. The result of this research is watching Sexy Killers can affect the student trust to the political elite.} }
