%X Kedaulatan Rakyat daily news is one of the mass media which massively reported the case of Agni’s rape, student at Gajah Mada University. This case up to the public debate after BPPBM Balairung released investigative news about her when she did a community development program (CDP) in Pulau Seram, Maluku, 2017. This media continuously kept up the case, importantly when the law process was going on.
The approach of this research using the descriptive-qualitative method and for analysis using critical discourse analyses (CDA) by Sara Mills. The object of research is the social construction about news of law process to Agni's rape. While, the subject is seven news by Kedaulatan Rakyat newspaper about the process of law from this case from November 2018 until February 2019.
The conclusion of this research, Kedaulatan Rakyat’s daily news reported Agni's rape from the construction of patriarchy ideology. This media continuously builds a narrative of distrust towards Agni and denying of her confessions. Agni as the victims is constructed as a liar.
