N2  - Mualaf is someone who converts his religion from non-Islam to Islam. The aim of
this research is to know about how does the process of decision making for being
a mualaf. The title of this research is The Process of Decision Making For Being
A Mualaf by Using Qualitative Method and Phenomenological Approach. The
research has three women and one man as the subject. The data collection
technique is using interviews and observation. The result of this research shows
that all the subjects who are converted to Islam are by heart willing of themselves,
not by coercing or willing of another. The process of decision making for being a
Mualaf has five steps, there are assessing the problem of finding information,
choosing an option, stating a commitment, and defending from the negative
feedback. All of the subjects state that they are interpreting the meaning of their
life with the greatest blessings and guidance from Allah SWT.
