%X This research is discussion how interpersonal communication is useful in social adjustment process at Pondok Pesantren Al-Munawwir Komplek Nurussalam. It aims to analyze the role of interpersonal communication used qualitative descriptive method by collecting data through interview and documentation in depth with subject research. The subjects involved were 7 students and 1 caregiver as triangulation informant.
The results of this study state the subject who doing interpersonal communication will feel more comfortable on their social environment with confidence feeling, and improving their potential. It influenced by some factors that are initiating relationship, self-disclosure, providing emotional support, asserting displeasure with others’ actions, managing interpersonal conflicts. Whereas the subject who didn’t interpersonal communication being uncomfortable person and tend to be apathetic on their social environment.
