abstract: In this life, humans must experience problems that come and go, these problems that come insistently can disturb a person's mental and physical condition. This does not rule out the disruption of one's mental stability. A common mental disorder experienced by a person is bipolar disorder. In the treatment of bipolar disorder, patients are usually advised to take medical drugs or perform rehabilitation at RSJ. However, there are several alternative treatments for treating bipolar disorder, one of which is the ruqyah syar'iyyah therapy. Baitur Ruqyah Asy-Syar'iyyah Wal Hijamah Kotagede Yogyakarta is one of the institutions that serves ruqyah therapy for the recovery of psychological and physical ailments. BRH Center implements ruqyah therapy according to what is taught and does not conflict with Islam. This ruqyah therapy is called ruqyah syar'iyyah therapy. The formulation of the problem of this research is how the techniques of implementing ruqyah therapy for bipolar disorder survivors. The purpose of this study was to determine the techniques of implementing ruqyah therapy for bipolar disorder survivors in Baitur Ruqyah Asy-Syar'iyyah Wal Hijamah Kotagede Yogyakarta. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with research subjects Ustadz Fadhlan Adham Yasir as director and therapist at the BRH Center and one patient with bipolar disorder (FM) represented by the patient's parents. Methods of data collection using observation, interviews, and documentation.
The result of this study is to know the techniques of ruqyah therapy implementation as well as the results that have been achieved in the implementation of ruqyah therapy in Baitur Ruqyah Asy-Syar'iyyah Wal Hijamah which is applied to bipolar disorder survivors. The techniques of implementation of ruqyah therapy applied are touch technique, pat technique, massage technique, swipe technique as well as blow and exhale technique
