N2  - The purpose of this study is to describe the infromation-seeking behavior 
of lector in Dagaran Palbapang Bantul. This research is using descriptive
qualitative research method. The data analysis technique using steps of data
reduction, data presentation, and withdrawal of conclusions. The result of this
research is namely information seeking behavior by lector in Dusun Dagaran
Palbapang Bantul using topic or theme as a keyword to search in kitab or book.
The information seeking behavior of lector in Dusun Dagaran Palbapang Bantul
generally according to the model of information seeking behavior David Ellis is
starting, chaining, browsing, differentiating, monitoring, extracting, verivying,
and ending. However, from the eight stages of the model information seeking
behavior there is informant do not perform the stage. The first informant carried
out the stage according to the model of information seeking behavior David Ellis
while the second informant do not perform the second stage of the model namely
chaining. The second informant do not perform chaining when it doesn?t need to
do because the second informant has  read the information in several times until
he is memorized and no need to take the note. Constraints experienced by the
informant is when it comes to spending more time searching the information in
different books to fit the information needed and and when the topic or theme
cannot be found in books that are owned, the informant must borrow from the
other people?s book.
